Resident Artist Antonio Motta, Baritone
Antonio Motta, baritone, is a proud fronterizo and UTEP alumnus in his third season as a Resident Artist with EP Opera. Most recently, Antonio was seen as the soldier in EP Opera’s production of Sunday in the Park with George and as a soloist singer in Mozart by Moonlight. He has also been a featured soloist in two Young People’s Concerts with El Paso Symphony Orchestra. Prior roles performed include Don Luis Nogales in Opera UTEP’s Luisa Fernanda and Gus O’Neill in Later the Same Evening with the UNT Opera. During his years as an undergraduate student at Opera UTEP, his roles performed include Ben in The Telephone, David in A Hand of Bridge, and Reinaldo Arenas in scenes from Before Night Falls. Antonio performed as a chorus member in the past productions of El Paso Opera La Traviata, Pagliacci, Madama Butterfly, and West Side Story.
