Opera en la Comunidad

Free opera performances in El Paso come to neighborhoods across the city through Opera en la Comunidad. This welcoming citywide program brings singers and productions into community centers, libraries, parks, retail spaces, and senior living communities at low or no cost.

Bringing Opera Closer to Home

El Paso Opera exists not only to perform, but to serve. Opera en la Comunidad brings that mission to life by taking live opera beyond the theater and into the places where our community gathers.

Through free and low-cost performances, this city-wide program makes opera more accessible, more personal, and more connected to everyday life in El Paso.

Across El Paso

A City-Wide Celebration of Music

In May and June 2027, Opera en la Comunidad will bring live performances to community centers, libraries, parks, retail spaces, and senior living communities across El Paso.

Led by a dynamic quartet of singers, the tour includes pop-up #CurbsideOpera performances, an intimate vocal recital, and a five-performance run of Doctor Miracle, a comic opera by Georges Bizet, the composer of Carmen.
